or curve?
Picture 2

i like it, its nice. slim. and business like. i can update my tweets, surf the net while waiting for people who are really late when it comes to meeting me, etc etc. just that the curve’s an older version, a tad slower and less stylish looking.

but maybe i want to do games too. how?

i can’t wait for friday.

what creates mountains?

July 26, 2008 Leave a comment

the bible says that prayer and faith moves mountains. well, what then creates mountains? let’s break it down here. mountains are problems. be it relationship, finances, health, whatever that may be. so what creates them? yes, sometimes its our stupidity, sometimes its just ignorance, for me, its usually stupidity. but what drives these problems and keeps them thriving?

i think its fear that drives these mountains to grow. fear that our relationships with our friends with be broken if we tell them the truth. fear that our finances will dwindle even more when we give to God. fear that our lives will come crashing down if we (God forbid) are diagnosed with cancer. we tell ourselves millions of “buts” (yes, kristy, i know!) and “ifs”  when in fact, deep down in our hearts, we wouldnt want to admit that we are afraid.

but where fear thrives, faith cannot. we need to come up to a point in our situation when we cut ourselves from the fear thats eating in us and turn to Jesus. we need to tell Jesus to step into the situation and all. but that requires faith on our part. faith is a simple action that requires a lot of willpower. its as simple as trusting someone, but as difficult as staying faithful to your wife/husband/boyfriend/girlfriend. temptations to jump overboard will be inevitable when you want to stand by your faith. but at the end of he day, just like the most beautiful of relationships, when a husband stays faithful to a wife, they will live happily ever after. and well, i guess we will also stay happily ever after with Jesus.

Who says fairy tale endings don’t occur in the world anymore? (:

i spent the afternoon watching shakespear in love. very sad ending. it has almost got a similar characteristic to the ending of Sweet november. i dunno which came first though. what i am very inspired by is their use of english in the movie. dialogues like “young bird on an old pomegranate tree” just plays with your mind. very nice play of the english language.

i think girl is a quaint creature. she doesn’t see someone she loves for a long time and when they really do miss that him. but when he asks her out, girl declines and then complains to him. but, i think its because girl doesnt just want part of him, she wants all of him. selfish, but, i think its very sweet. (:

Physical sports, especially those that has to deal with pain always tests the mental ability of men. they fight not because they got a point to prove. they fight because they want the prize more than their challenger and nothing’s going to stop them. Being strong is not about how many punches you can take, how many times you can get up from a fall. Being strong is how fast you are able to stand up from a fall. check out 7:10-7:15. And, there’s nothing that can be compared to a family’s love and support.

Man, i know this sounds crazy, but i want to take up boxing or krav maga.

people always wonder why women are into shopping while men are into physical activities like, soccer. my brothers and i were watching Human Weapon on History Channel and it really rocked my boat. i wouldnt dare step on tim’s toes now, knowing he’s got a junior black belt on TKD. these people are sick! i youtubed Krav Maga and found an episode of the guys learning Krav Maga. Its an Isreali form of martial arts but it really packs a punch. its almost as if its street fighting.

(Kids, fighting is bad! don’t anyhow fight. but notice i said “anyhow”. If some idiot comes up to you and plays punk. do what you need to do.)

Check This Out

When He had called the people to Himself, with His disciples also, He said to them, “Whoever desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me..”

I know that has got nothing to do with Krav Maga. thats why i drew a line across.

its labour day tomorrow. unfortunately, for the peeps in india, the labourers arent at all unlaboured, because they don’t celebrate that. so, my dad has to work. my dad has been calling us via skype and i constantly make fun of him, what he eats and such. but i was watching Sanjiv singh Gourmet Asia (or something like that…) and found out indian food is really high in cholesterol. so, i’m looking for simple DIY recipes for my dad.

random- i’m going to watch ironman tomorrow. i did basically nothing at work today, other than cropping a few images and changing my desktop wallpaper (damn love my desktop wallpaper now). mummy wants to get chocolates tomorrow. YAY.

i got caught in the rain today and my nose is on drip.

Cabbies are nice people. i dropped my bible in the cab today and the cabby called to tell he’ll be leaving it at safti.

Have you ever wondered why God created secular music? Alot of songs sing about love. isn’t that what God is about? man! God was into christ in culture even before the guitar was created. if God were to be human today, i think he would be a clean hippie. there were two groups of hippies actually. one was the rampant sex one, the other aimed to give free food to the needy. God would be the latter. ok i know, i’m just jimbonling. Yea, new word.

anyways, i did a few changes to my new logo. i even tattoo-ed myself!

The aftermath of “Oh Shit”

Captain bernard whacked me today and told me i forgot to cake out the coffee cake.

oh, i managed to almost complete the rubik’s cube today! and i was kinda left with the 4 corners so i went to Roy, the brainiest shit in our unit. apparently, he gave me more than a solution. now i’m having a little runny nose.

spent the night watching L.A Ink and cable tv again. Cable tv- God’s solution to the boring programs mediacorp. Speaking of Mediacorp, i was watching the news on channel 5 and realized how self indulgent mediacorp is. they had some MEDIACORP awards, awarded to MEDIACORP personalities and MEDIACORP news articles and the news aired the highlights of it in MEDIACORP news. how very very indulgent.

mother’s day is coming. mummy’s been into western cuisine recently so i guess i’ll get her JAMIE OLIVER’S cookbook. the sick thing about jamie is that he knows his stuff. and he’s like some rockin cook with a cute wife and crazy father. he cut his daughter’s hair and realized it was damn horrible but he was leaving for italy, so he kissed his daughter who’s about 3 or 4 years old and said.. “sorry about the hair, won’t do it again…” man. i wanna cut my kid’s hair next time. i saw this infant, who’s 6months old. he had a mohawk.

new beginnings..

hello online world. i hope i’ll be able to update this blog as long as i can. apparently, my previous space expired and i couldn’t be bothered to buy it again. the previous blog was crap anyways. the only major changed that i really enjoyed since i left my blog was the introduction of cable tv. since then, my life has been enriched with endless episodes of futureweapons, Jamie Oliver’s cook shows, L.A inks and Miami inks. i like the way how tattoos are being shaded, especially the japanese styled kinds.

saturdays have been nice to me. going to expo for service makes me happy, even if i went alone. i don’t know if its the train rides i have alone or the personal encounters i have with God during service. being alone during service is really cool. you can concentrate on what pastor’s preaching about. my brain doesn’t work like your brains. i tend to wonder off after pastor gives an anecdote and it becomes a story in the end!

someone actually sneaked up behind me and gave me a nice surprise today. andy’s happy.
